OUR STORY
In 1974, after years as a tournament spear fisherman, Michael J Wagner bought and expanded Seafood Specialties, a wholesale seafood processor and distributor of local fish and shellfish out of Santa Barbara, CA.
“I bought fish from the local boats and sold them to local distributors who actually sell to me today!”
The first Andria’s Seafood – named after his only daughter – was opened as a small fish market on Haley St. in Santa Barbara.
In 1982, before the Ventura Harbor Village existed, Michael signed a lease to build a Seafood Market with “some cooking." Andria’s Seafood Restaurant and Market opened on May 13, 1982.
In 1999, Andria joined the family business – although Michael maintains a very active daily role in the restaurant.
40 years later, we are blessed to continue to receive local and national accolades for our family owned, run and loved, “fresh fish market with some cooking.”
